Enrollment
NEW STUDENTS
Applicants desiring to enter a degree program at Faith Theological Seminary and Christian College must have either earned a diploma from an accredited high school or have passed the General Educational Development (G.E.D.) test. This is also the minimum requirement for audit applicants as well.
TRANFERS
Students transferring to Faith Theological Seminary and Christian College from another institution of higher learning, must submit an official transcript from that institution and any others in consideration for transferring college credit.
Students transferring will be granted credit for work done on an equivalent level and for a similar amount of time in subjects that fit with the prospective student's program of study at Faith Theological Seminary and Christian College.
CALENDAR YEAR
The residential program at the main campus begins its academic year in August and continues until May. There is an orientation in July for all students, both new and continuing. There is time off for Christmas, New Year's, Easter holidays and special ministry events. Depending on the calendar date of these holidays, the specific amount of time off varies each year.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Complete the application which includes a brief written testimony of your salvation, a statement of purpose explaining the intention of the specific degree you are seeking, making sure to sign and date the form (this is a two-sided form).
- Include a recent wallet size or passport size picture of yourself.
- All foreign nationals must submit proof that they are legally in the country (current visa, residency status, green card, etc.) which must be current and verifiable.
- Include a $35.00 non-refundable application fee (if transcripts, life experience, and/or placement tests are to be evaluated, include the appropriate fees - information available through the college office).
- Any transcripts from other colleges or universities should be submitted directly to the office of the Registrar from that institution(s). Transferable credits will depend on the specific program desired.
- Submit proof of high school graduation, if no college work has been done, with either a diploma or its equivalency.
- If life experience credit (a minimum of ten years of ministry) is submitted, include the completed credit assessment portfolio which includes a typewritten resume of the ministry experience with the completed portfolio form.
- Start the application process (especially if desiring residential status) at least three (3) weeks prior to the beginning of the college or seminary class date (see Calendar Year above); or the beginning of each four-week class period as applicable to the student's program.
- Once accepted, each student must sign a financial agreement for their tuition.
- Appointment can be made through the college office with the academic dean if a specific evaluation is needed or question arises about a specific program.
