As you read the words of the Apostle Peter below – I would like to challenge you to consider CFM Bible College as you think about how God may prepare you for His plan for your life.
The Apostle writes in 1 Peter 1:3 - “Therefore, prepareyour minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
Dictionary.com defines prepare like this: to put things or oneself in readiness; get ready
The Greek word used here for prepare is Anazōnnymi – to gird up. To prepare for a journey or work.
One of the greatest and most effective servants in the Kingdom of God was asked what he would do if God told him that he had ten years left to serve God. He answered without hesitation, “I would spend five years preparing, and then five years finishing my work”.
Preparation is a key factor in our effectiveness in our service to Jesus Christ. If we are willing to take the time to prepare, God will always honor that preparation.
Think about Jesus – he did not begin his “public ministry” until he was thirty years old. The disciples spent three years of 24/7 training with Jesus before receiving the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to be witnesses to the world of what they had seen and heard in Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul spent three years in Arabia encountering Jesus after he first met Jesus on the road to Damascus.
God is always calling His people to prepare. Have you put yourself in a state of readiness to be prepared for the action that God is calling you to?
